Oregon is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States known as the “Beaver State.” Oregon borders the Pacific Ocean, Washington, Idaho, California and Nevada. Its highest point is the summit of Mount Hood, at 11,239 feet, and its lowest point is sea level of the Pacific Ocean. Oregon's gross state product was $145.35 billion as of 2005. Vast forests have historically made Oregon one of the nation's major timber production and logging states. |
