 Introduction
Nebraska is a Great Plains state of the United States. Nebraska gets its name from a Native American word meaning "flat water." Nebraska is sometimes referred to as the "Cornhusker State." Nebraska is bordered by South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. Nebraska has 93 counties. Nebraska per capita personal income in 2004 was $31,339. Nebraska has a large agriculture sector, and is a national leader in the production of beef, pork, corn, and soybeans. Other important economic sectors include freight transport, manufacturing, telecommunications, information technology, and insurance.
